I don’t buy granola. I used to. I love it. It’s one of my favorite snacks (lame, I know). So then why don’t I buy it?
Simple: I know it is not great for me (so many have added sugars, seed oils, etc.) and I know I do not have the willpower to refrain from consuming in excess when it is easily available. If it’s not in the house, the craving magically seems to vanish.
I think about this as a bit of a microcosm for how I make decisions. Having discipline is challenging. It’s a whole lot easier to remove the need to have discipline.
